COLLABORATIVE DIVORCE
Avoid the courtroom, and work with a team of legal experts in a collaborative divorce to find solutions that work for both sides. Together you will decide the best parenting plan for your family, how to divide your assets, and amicably come to a resolution on all the other important issues in your dissolution. Collaborative divorce focuses on cooperation, respect, and open communication, making the dissolution process smoother and less stressful. Think of it as a respectful, positive way to navigate the challenges of separating, where both spouses have a voice in shaping the outcome of their future. Let’s chat to see if collaborative divorce is right for you.
MINOR GUARDIANSHIP
Is there a youth in your life that needs a stable and nurturing home because mom and dad are unable or unwilling to care for them right now? Filing a Minor Guardianship may protect the youth and provide you with the ability to care for and make decisions for the youth in their parents' absence. This is distinguishable from youths entering "the system" or where Child Protective Services (CPS) are involved where the youth may be placed with a foster family and the state is involved in their care. Contact me if you have a loved one who may need help.

GUARDIANS/CONSERVATORS
Adult guardianship is when someone is appointed for an individual over age 18 because that individual is unable to meet their basic needs and there’s a significant risk of harm without a guardian and other less restrictive options are not available. A conservatorship is when a court appoints someone (the conservator) to help manage another person’s care or finances because they can’t do it themselves due to a number of factors. It ensures they get the support they need, whether it’s short-term or long-term. Contact me if you have a loved one who may need help.
Traditional Family Law
Not sure how to proceed with your divorce? Let's create a plan and come up with the best options for you. Traditional family law is what is known and what is typically practiced. Each party is represented by their own attorney and hire their own experts to determine a "just and equitable" division of community property. Contact me when you're considering traditional family law presentation.
ESTATE PLANNING
Create or update your estate plan when you have had a major life change—new relationship, marriage, dissolution, birth of a child, job promotion, etc. Avoid the unknown and protect your assets to make sure your loved ones will be taken care. Make sure your best friend inherits your friendship bracelets, Billy inherits that '67 Ford Thunderbird or Aunt Babs keeps your silver mini spoon collection. Whatever it is, make sure you have a plan. Don't leave your family scrambling in your absence. Let’s work together to safeguard your decision making-power both now and in the future.
